Alternatives to Goodison

Some alternative sites to the 2 proposed by EFC. I don't like the dock site simply because it will not use the view, a football stadium looks inward, while the connectivity is good it is not brilliant,
The other site out in the sticks is just that, far away. The area is not used to coping with large crowds, it still a problem at Goodison and Anfield after all these years. Fans no longer walk from their houses to the ground, they come from all over the place.
There are plans for the redevelopment of Liverpool waters, which take advantage of its location, there are no plans for the redevelopment of areas along Vauxhall Road and North Liverpool building the new Goodison in one of these places would provide a boost for the areas.

The William Collins Playing field.

Some 1 Kilometer from Goodison, not far from Sandhill station, good road access via Stanley road. and the A59. If built here and the current ground is turned into a replacement playing field then virtually nothing is lost, some people may have to walk further for a Sunday kick about but just as many will have a shorter distance to go.

Rice Lane Recreation Ground

Not far from Goodison, very good rail connections. If the line is a bit too close it is in a cutting and if Tesco can put a line in a tunnel for Gerrards Cross then EFC can do it to expand the site. Should the outer loop ever become a railway gain then it adds further connectivity!

The Eldoinian Village

Built in the wrong place and with the wrong type of housing, this site would be perfect, it would mean building a replacement estate but that would be far easier than finding a site for a stadium. Would it be any more controversial than the CPOs around Anfield? part of new housing estate could be just over Vauxhall Road. Very close to city centre so good for access, a new railway station would improve access even more. A far better use for the land than housing, they key would be in getting the right relocation for the residents.

Explanation

Some of these would be a bit controversial but we should have Everton's rational explained for the 2 it has picked and also the ones it has declined.
