Great Nelson Street

It is not a name you hear very often but it is a street worth a look when searching out a place for Liverpool's tallest building. The street currently has no residences on it and just a Booker distribution centre. It new neighbour will be Merseyside Police HQ on Juvenal street, from which it will be separated by the tunnel approach. Whilst it near the centre of town it is surrounded by 350°  of road, accessible only by the street bridge and it a reasonable 3.82 hectares.
Just over half of the land is regenerating woodland and the other half warehouse, if it was me I'd put the building right in the centre losing part of the current woodland and replanting over the Booker site to surround the new build.

As you can see Here in old and modern maps side by side previously the site contained a market and Victoria Square some of the original municipal housing in Liverpool and the world.
The cutting for the tunnel approach may be a problem but keeping to the centre means avoiding that, it may well be the biggest site in Liverpool that is grossly underdeveloped.  You could easily put the buildings from the Plaza, formerly The JM centre to Leeds street in the space but as the site for one enormous building, it would be hard o beat.
